Bioavailability

Since many decades, inorganic salts like the metallo-sulphates, carbonates and oxides have been used in animal nutrition. Their value is proven.

Over the last decade, many organo-mineral products have entered the market, claiming  a higher bioavailability. Comparative studies however do not confirm this claim. Many organo-mineral products even show a decreased bioavailability. Some are comparable to the standard inorganic products and only a limited number of products, like selenium-yeast, show better results, with statistical evidence.
